As a holistic medicine model, we form a health treatment plan individually tailored to achieve your health and wellness goals. While chiropractic is still primarily focused on hands-on techniques to diagnose and treat the muscles and joints of the body, it has evolved to include additional conservative treatments, such as nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to achieve optimal health.
Prenatal chiropractors are trained in delivering safe, gentle, and effective adjustments, to align the pelvis and include a soft tissue release of associated muscles and ligaments. Maintaining ease of movement throughout pregnancy can improve sleep, and allow you to stay active.
Chiropractic care during pregnancy can relieve pain and discomfort associated with stress on the spine from changing biomechanics. As your baby grows, and the uterus expands, the centre of gravity shifts, and can create pressure on the hips, pelvis, and lower back, resulting in low back pain, sciatica, and other conditions that are common in pregnancy.
The hormone relaxin, which is essential in the labour & delivery process, often takes 5 months to fully clear the body following birth. As you return to activity following the birth of your baby, and you both adjust to feeding routines, chiropractic care can address related aches and discomfort.
Although Natasha focuses on pediatric and prenatal care, treatments for a variety of conditions are available for all individuals from birth and beyond.
Often, the last symptom we experience when our joints are not working optimally is pain. For a prolonged active and healthy lifestyle, it is important to keep the joints functioning optimally. Much like regular eye and dental exams, chiropractic care can assess the joints of the body and restore or improve motion before it becomes painful and limits your daily activities.
The frequency of preventative care will depend upon the daily demands you put on your body; for example, athletes may require more frequent visits due to the demands of training.
Most private insurance companies cover a percentage of the costs. Your insurance contract will generally provide a detailed description of chiropractic care fees that are covered under your personal plan. Dr. Natasha does offer insurance receipts.
